History has been made....

I have swatched for a sweater!

This is Cestari Wool 2-ply in Blackberry, a gorgeous blue-purple yarn. I'm swatching for Rogue, a sweater I've always wanted. Since both of the active sweaters on the needles are for Mom and Bernie, I decided to be a little bit selfish and swatch for Rogue. :) You know, so I'll be ready for when I can knit for myself!

I'm on a hellish work schedule right now. Three days on, one day off, three days on. My last night is tonight, thank goodness. Wanted to show you all what was going to make me smile at work tonight--new socks!

Eat Your Veggies Everyone!

I finished a pair of socks for my Mom! You may remember these rainbow socks... Well, they developed a hole in them, and I felt the need to knit my Mom a new pair of socks.

Perfect for sitting with your legs up reading the paper!

The yarn is Claudia's Handpainted, in the colorway Eat Your Veggies. Knit using my basic sock pattern, knit on US 1s, 72 stitches around.

Today in fact was a handknit sock day! My Mom with her "Eat Your Veggies..."

And me with my Woolly Boully Brooklyn Candies.

It was a good visit to Vancouver, WA with my Mom this week. :)

Transition Gloves

Finally, the formal FO pictures set. The colors are much more accurate on this series than in my previous post.

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments in my last post!

These gloves are designed by ShibuiKnits. Transition Gloves. I knit these in Dragonfly and Mulberry (I had thought I used Peacock, but I didn't). Purchased yarn and pattern via The Loopy Ewe.

They are nice and warm! I wore them last night while I was taking night shots of Seattle during the fireworks show at the Space Needle.

They also kept me warm today while Bernie and I went out trying our new hobby, letterboxing!

Love them. Totally recommend knitting these gloves to anyone. They were a quick, easy knit. Good practice for colorwork!
